As proud kit providers for Winchester University Netball, we couldn’t be more delighted to celebrate the incredible achievement of the second team, who secured an outstanding second place in the Cup Final on 5th March 2025 at the University of Bath.
What a game it was! A fiercely contested final, played with relentless determination and unwavering team spirit. Bodies were thrown left, right, and centre in a heroic effort to keep the team in contention until the very last whistle. The squad showcased resilience, skill, and an unbreakable bond that carried them through an intense match, proving their place among the best.
A massive congratulations to all the girls for their dedication throughout the season and their refusal to ever give up. Their hard work and passion have been evident in every match, and this remarkable result is a testament to their commitment.
A huge thank you also goes out to the unwavering supporters, the University of Winchester Netball community, and of course, their fantastic coach Ellie, whose encouragement and expertise were invaluable throughout the journey. Special appreciation also to Holly Crowther, UOW’s Activity Groups Co-ordinator, who led the support and cheering from the sidelines. Having them, along with their enthusiastic supporters, cheering from the sidelines made all the difference.
A special shoutout to Lucy Emma, who was deservedly named Player of the Match for her outstanding performance. And of course, it wouldn’t be a proper celebration if captain Lilly McCarthy wasn’t being double parked for the rest of the day – it’s tradition at this point!
Once again, congratulations to Winchester University Netball on such a fantastic achievement. We are immensely proud to see our kits worn with such passion, and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for this incredible team. Here’s to even more success ahead!
