With almost thirty teams including men’s and women’s senior teams as well as youth teams from Under 7s to Under 18s plus a one-hundred-member strong Inclusive Team section, Everett Rovers is one of the largest and fastest growing football clubs in Hertfordshire.
Originally formed in 1997, Everett Rovers now offer football for well over five hundred children and the 2026-27 season saw the Men’s first team competing for the very first time at Step 5 in the Spartan South Midland Premier Division.
For its 30-year history, Everett Rovers has always played in its well-known blue and black stripe shirts. Over the years, they have worked with various kit suppliers but following a review of what was needed to reliably supply such a large number of teams, they became the latest football club to join The Huddle with a new kit and teamwear partnership supplied by STC.
Club Secretary Matt Green started looking for new suppliers with the initial focus being on those who can make sublimated football kits. As well as the quality and longevity Matt knows comes with this approach, he was also aware that kit designs can be discontinued or changed and he wanted to make sure the same kit design was available to Everett Rovers for the long-term.
“We narrowed our search down to three suppliers and we found that STC were so organised and very club focused. They took the time to understand what we needed and developed a full proposal which even included a few different design options for us to consider.” said Matt.
“On top of this, the online store was a real benefit as we can now push this across all of our teams. Parents and players can order what they need to complement the kits. It has been a really nice add-on to what we can offer as a club.”
The 2026-27 season saw the first roll out of the new kits with two Saturday men’s teams starting their season in new STC kits. This was shortly followed by the senior Ladies team and eight new kits for youth teams are already on order with even more in the pipeline.
Matt explains “Like lots of grass roots clubs, each youth team is responsible for finding a local sponsor and what we have found is that as the new STC kits are being launched across the club, more teams are seeing them and wanting to get a new kit. Already we have eight youth teams that have just placed orders.”
The youth team shirts come with an added twist too. They are made from a single reversible material meaning that they double up as an away shirt for when there is a potential kit clash.
“We found the reversible shirt idea another example of getting something extra from STC. It is rarely viable for youth teams to have two kits so the fact we can turn the shirt and play in a yellow and black away shirt is a really nice feature.”
Only two months into the kit partnership, there is already glowing feedback from players on the quality of the kit and from Matt’s perspective part of his role has become a lot easier.
